JENNY’S STORY: REB3L HELPED ME COMMIT TO MYSELF

For nearly all of my life I feel it has been somewhat easy for me to stay in shape or at least maintain an average weight range for my build. I have always enjoyed being active and felt my metabolism was strong.

When I turned 30 I had my first child and two years later I had my second child. Through the pregnancies and postpartum stages I felt good and was able to bounce back slowly but surely. I am a Registered Nurse and worked twelve hour shifts on a busy Obstetrics floor. This helped me to stay active and somewhat disciplined with food choices.

A few years later I had my third child at the age of 35 and nothing was easy this time around. In short, I was put on and off of hormones and steroids to keep my son growing and prevent an early delivery. After I had him I really struggled with getting the weight off and even started to put more weight on. I figured it was hormonal changes from the pregnancies and working my new schedule on the night shift at the hospital. I finally was fed up because I knew this was not my normal. I decided no more half assing workouts and diets.

In 2018, I took a live REB3L groove class and BAM I was hooked! I finally felt good for the first time in years. I realized how tired and sluggish I was living my life; so I made a plan and made a change. The biggest change I made was to stop making excuses to myself when it came to workouts.

I COMMITTED TO REB3L THREE DAYS A WEEK AND THE FIRST YEAR OF IT CHANGED MY LIFE!

The workouts are so fun that I never felt like I was working out. The community that REB3L draws is a group of supportive, fun, and EMPOWERING people. In my first year of doing REB3L I lost over 20 pounds and felt incredible.

Fast forward to 2020 and the pandemic hit! The gyms closed and the schools went to remote learning. Trying to adjust to this new lifestyle was not easy. However, I still had REB3L and that was a game changer. I was able to continue my workouts from home and even attended outdoor live classes with friends. I loved it because it felt normal and not much felt normal in those years.
