TAKE PROGRESS PICTURES EVEN IF WEIGHT LOSS ISN’T YOUR GOAL
Search through the #TransformationTuesday tag on Instagram and you’ll be blown away by pictures of drastic weight loss and incredible body changes from people all over the world. But, even if you aren’t trying to lose weight, it’s still a good idea to document your progress, and taking pictures is the easiest way to do so.
Everyone has a different reason for working out, and no matter what your reason is, celebrating your progress is important. No, you don’t have to share them with the world. You can keep them just for you, too! (but, if you do share, be sure to use the hashtag #REB3Lnation so we can see!)
Here are four reasons why we love progress pictures!
1. THEY HELP YOU STAY ACCOUNTABLE.
When you start working out a lot, it’s easy to say to yourself, “well, I worked hard today so I can overeat or I can miss my workout tomorrow.” When you know you’ll be taking a picture of yourself in a couple weeks, you’ll be far more likely to keep that in mind when it comes to making healthy choices. That being said, come up with a consistent photo day for yourself and stick to it!
2. THE SCALE DOESN’T TELL THE WHOLE STORY.
Muscle weighs more than fat, so even if you lose body fat and gain muscle, the scale may not give you as grand of a number as you may be hoping for! Your progress pictures and the way your clothes fit you will help demonstrate your transformation better than your weight will.
3. GAIN SUPPORT FROM OTHERS.
If you feel comfortable sharing your progress on a platform like Instagram, your #REB3Lfam is there to support and cheer you on! Sometimes it’s hard for our friends or family to understand what it’s like to work toward a fitness goal, but there are countless others who are sweating it out daily just like you who can be your virtual support system.
4. CELEBRATE TINY VICTORIES.
You look at yourself in the mirror every day, and it’s not always easy to see the change that’s happening before your eyes. Do you have a pair of yoga pants that don’t quite fit you just right? Try taking a picture in them now, wait a few months, then take another picture. You’ll see the difference in the photos even if you don’t see the difference in the mirror.
We can’t wait to see the progress you make by incorporating REB3L Groove and Strength workouts into your daily routine. Remember, if you need a little motivation or if you have any questions about the program, you can always reach out to us! We are here to support you on your journey! Follow us on Instagram where we’ll be sharing progress and motivation from other REB3L babes.
