5 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR FIRST GROOVE WORKOUT

You’ve seen REB3L Groove here on the blog and on our social media profiles, but have you actually tried it yet? It’s intimidating to try something new, especially something that’s unlike anything you’ve ever tried before. To help prepare you for the best (and most fun) workout of your life, we put together five tips to get you ready for your first workout.

GATHER EVERYTHING YOU’LL NEED.

Clear out some space in your living room, grab a bottle of water, and have a towel handy. You’ll definitely want to have enough space to swing your arms and legs around you without bumping into anything. Next, check your internet connection and any devices you’ll be using to stream your workouts. Get everything ready to go, then just press play!

DON’T BE INTIMIDATED.

Yes, we dance in REB3L Groove, but this workout is not made just for professionals! Groove is perfect for all fitness and dance levels. Don’t worry if you feel silly at first. You won’t feel silly at all once you start seeing your body changing! You can throw yourself in by playing the full 60-minute Groove workout, or start slow with the “Learn to Groove” videos.

GO ALL-OUT WITH YOUR DANCE MOVES.

As you get more comfortable with the dances, it’s time to go all-out! The bigger your movements, the higher the calorie burn. Always strive to do a little more than you did the last time. That means you’re jumping higher, exaggerating arm movements, adding an extra booty pop – whatever it is to get you moving big!

HAVE FUN.

Remember – this workout is supposed to be fun! Try not to overthink it. Turn on the workout and lose yourself in the music. Don’t worry about getting every move just right. That will come in time. Just do your best every time and each time will be more fun than the last!
